	The beaches of Blanes stretch for over 4 kilometres. There are five beaches: Treumal - 75 metres, Santa Anna - 75 metres, Blanes - 540 metres, S'Abanell - 2.500 metres and the Cala of Sant Francesc - 2.000 metres. Most of them have additional services such as ice cream stalls, skate hire, windsurf boards and sun beds or mini-cruises.
The garden Mar i Murtra was created by Karl Faust, a German who lived in Barcelona in the 1920s. He built a house with a garden working with the best botanic specialists of his time. Following the death of the founder, a group of botanists formed a non-profit making association. With the boom in tourism the garden was prepared so that it could be opened to the public.
